On November 24-26, 2023, the Kyokushin-Kan Karate World Championship will begin at the «Sadu ARENA» sports complex in Almaty.
This large-scale project is divided into kata and kumite divisions.
Athletes of the following categories can participate in the committee section:
Men (55; 60; 65; 70; 75; 80; 85; 90; +90)
Women (50; 55; 60; 65; +65)
Youth 16-17 years old (55; 60; 65; 70; 75; +75)
Young girls 16-17 years old (50; 55; 60; +60)
Teenagers 14-15 years old (40; 45; 47.5; 50; 52.5; 55; 57.5; 60; 65; +65)
Teenage girls 14-15 years old (45; 50; 55; +55)
Boys 12-13 years old (30; 35; 37.5; 40; 42.5; 45; 47.5; 50; 55; +55)
Girls 12-13 years old (35; 40; 45; 50; +50)
Veterans 36-40 years old (75; +75)
Veterans 41-45 years old (75; +75)
Veterans 45-50 years old (75; +75)
Veterans +50 years old (75; +75).
Kumite and kata competitions are held according to KIKO rules. There will be no fight for 3rd place, meaning there will be two third places. Qualified athletes aged 12 years and older, not lower than 6th Kyu, qualified for the National Championship are allowed to participate. The inspection commission lasts for one day — November 23, 2023. Advance requests for hotel reservations and transfer arrangements will be accepted until August 1, 2023. Applications related to the World Championship will be accepted until September 01, 2023. Teams that have not submitted a preliminary or final application will not be allowed to compete.
